I have had a
facebook account for a while, I had the
Myspace before that.
Facebook is very simple to use and that is why kids use it. It is really neat to me, to be able to keep up with old friends, that I have not seen in years, and will not see, they live very far away and do not plan on coming to
Smithville. So I can keep up with their lives and their families, that otherwise I would not know anything about. When I turned 50, she sent me a
facebook message, Welcome to the "Half a Century Club!" She thought that was really funny and so did most of my
facebook friends.
I do not think it should be a place that you post your every thought, I have read some post that say "in a bad mood"........ " Bored, nothing to do" ..... okay, that is when it is time to go pick up a book, go for a walk, swim, or just go take a nap,
facebook does not need to know your every thought.
I see many people post things that seem that they want to brag about themselves, again, just not for me. I have a good friend that just brought her son home for a 30 day leave from the Marines, they went out to
California for his graduation, went to the beach, spent family time together. She posted pictures, and that is her way of showing all her
facebook friends, without leaving anyone out, the special time she spent with her family on vacation. I loved it!!!!!!!
From experience, be very careful about the personal information you put out on
facebook. There are WEIRDOS out there.
